Red Rice

Red Rice

Certified under APEDA, FSSAI, and ISO standards for quality, safety, and export compliance.

Key highlights:

  • Reddish brown grains with the bran layer intact.
  • Firm texture and a mild, nutty flavor.
  • Higher fiber content compared to polished white rice, due to the retained bran.
  • Slower cooking time than white rice, holding its shape well after cooking.
  • Suited to bulk orders for retail packs and food-service supply.
  • Available in Raw form only, milled to export grade standards.

Red rice is a variety of rice that keeps its outer bran layer during milling, which gives it a reddish brown color and a firmer bite than white rice. So what is red rice, exactly? It starts out the same as any other paddy, but instead of polishing away the bran completely, only a light milling is done. This leaves the color and much of the grain’s natural texture intact.

Because the bran stays on, the grain takes a little longer to cook and holds its shape well once done. It works well in everyday meals, salads, and dishes where a firmer, nuttier grain is preferred over soft white rice. At our mill, it is sourced and processed to meet the standards buyers expect for both retail and bulk export orders.
